Terms of Service
Last updated: September 10, 2026
Acceptance
Using the Transcriba extension or transcriba.io means you agree to these terms. If you're using Transcriba on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to accept them for that company too.
The service
Transcriba captures live captions and on-demand screenshots during a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams call through the browser extension, and transcriba.io is where you read, search, and get AI-generated summaries and action items from what was captured.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for the accuracy of the information on your account. Let us know if you think someone else has access to it.
Plans and billing
Free covers 5 synced meetings a month without AI summaries. Pro and Team add unlimited sync and full AI features; current pricing by region is always on the Pricing page, not restated here. Paid plans can be cancelled at any time once billing is live; cancelling stops the next charge but doesn't refund the current period.
Acceptable use and notifying other participants
A meeting captured by Transcriba almost always includes speech from people who aren't your users — colleagues, clients, vendors. You're responsible for having the right to record and process any call you capture, including telling other participants when your local law requires it; the extension may try to post an automatic notice in the call's chat to support that obligation, but that's a best-effort feature, not a substitute for confirming participants know about the transcription. Don't use the service to break the law, abuse other users, or interfere with how it runs.
What we do with the data you process
In exchange for your responsibility to notify participants, we commit to: using that transcript only to run Transcriba for your account (generating summaries, enabling search, etc.), never selling it or using it to train third-party models, deleting it for good when you delete the meeting or your account, and keeping a technical, per-meeting record of whether an automatic notice was attempted and whether it worked — useful as evidence if you ever need to demonstrate good faith in a compliance review.
Your content
You own the transcripts and screenshots you capture. You're giving us only the license we need to store and process that content in order to run the service for you, nothing broader.
AI-generated output
Summaries, action items, and chat responses are generated automatically and can be wrong or miss context. Treat them as a starting point, not a verified record of what was said.
Third-party platforms
Google Meet and Microsoft Teams belong to Google and Microsoft respectively. Transcriba isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated in partnership with either company, and how their platforms behave is outside our control.
Ending the relationship
You can delete your account whenever you want. We can suspend or close an account that violates these terms, and we'll try to give notice first except where that isn't reasonable, like abuse or a security risk.
No warranty
Transcriba is provided as-is. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, to the extent the law allows us to make that disclaimer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and continuing to use Transcriba afterward means you accept the update.
